Jill Valentine was surprised. Why would the Government want to talk to her? While Umbrella was taken down, she still had to defeat Albert Wesker. The bastard had been responsible for the deaths of her teammates. All she could get from the men was that they worked for the government. This was so confusing...
As Jill walked up to the building she could no longer stop her suspicions from coming in.
She opened the door, and walked down the hall way, preparing for a trap. She knocked on the door, "Come in, Ms. Valentine" said the voice on the other side. She opened the door and hoped for the best.
Sitting behind a desk inside was a man dressed in a black suit wearing black sunglass, he had his hands folded and elbows resting on the table and a smile on his face.
"Welcome," he said. His voice was cool, almost comforting, not the deadpan Jill might expect from a man that looked like someone out of every conspiracy theorist worst nightmare. He offered her his right hand and she walked up to the desk and shook hands with him. She kept her left hand by her sidearm just in case anyone tried anything
"Who are you and what do you want?" she asked.
“That’s no way to talk, Ms. Valentine. I’m here to give you something that may assist you in your investigation into Albert Wesker’s organization.”
“And what could do that?”
“You know he has samples of the T-Virus, G-Virus, T-Veronica virus, and more recently the Los Plagas parasite. Correct?”
“Yes... Where are you getting with this?”
“What if I told you that we’ve developed something that will allow you to be immune to all four?”
“...I’d say you’re pulling my leg.”
“No Joke, Ms. Valentine. It does have a side-effect or two, but we assure you, it’s much preferable to becoming a member of the undead.”
"so, what are theese "side-effects" you were talking about?"
"Oh nothing serious Ms.Valentine, although I am sworn to secrecy about what they are" the man said looking from under his glasses. "Do we have a deal?" he said holding out a pen and a piece of paper for her to sign.
"So you say this will make me immune to ALL the viruses?"
The man nodded slowly, "that is correct Ms.Valentine."
Jill hesitantly took the pen and signed the paper. it was the hardest decision she had made in a long while...When she looked up, she thought she saw the man grin, but he was quick to return to his nuetral gaze.
"well, now that thats settled, you just have to follow me, Ms.Valentine, and we'll be on our way."
Jill followed the man into a back room and opened a door, it was a plain white room with a table in the middle of it, nothing else, upon closer inspection, one of the walls was actually a one way window..."Now I'll need you to lie on this table for me, and we will have to sedate you to detect for any other germs, bacterias, or viruses that might already be in your body, if the doses mix with any of them,m the results could be fatal, so, no worries, right?" the man made a crack at a joke, but it only made Jill more nervous...She laid herself down on the table and breathed through the mask they gave her, and she drifted off to sleep...
Jill seemed to be floating in ... light. There were brilliant displays of blue, red, violet, orange, pink and yellow all arround her. She reached out to touch each of the colours, feeling a warm tingly sensation as she did which lead to intense euprophia the likes of which she'd never expericned.
/Oh great, they've injected me with drugs!/
She floated until everything faded, giving way to a forested region. It was midday, bright and warm. The sounds of wildlife all arround her. She felt an emotion she haden't of known in years, total bliss. It was as though she were safe and that things were going to be all right. She heard a sound to her right. Turning she saw a bush. She half expected a zombie and God only knows what else to emerge from it. She reached for her sidearm as the bushed parted only to reveal ... everything went wide as she heard Leons voice reassuring her things were all right that she was safe here. She found herself bolting up, in the same room as before, she felt the cold touch of the table benieth her, and realised she was now clad in a hosptial gown. Her chest hurt, was she having a heart attack? No, she heart the heart monitor that someone at some point had attached to her beeping in a steady manor, it almost soothed her with its rythmic beeps. Her legs and arms hurt as though she'd been running and lifting for hours, days even. Her back was sore, yet she knew better then to lift with her back. What was going on?
"What's happening to?"
The same man before before smiled at her and put his index finger over his mouth.
"Shhhh, it's allright, you're going to be fine, much better then just fine I might add," he said. His voice was soothing as though he were talking to a child to reassure he or she that his or her mommy and daddy were there and would protect him or her from harm.
She decided not to complain about his tone. She'd rather know *exactly* what was happening to her then have some guy just tell her to calm down.
"Why does everyone always tell people to calm down when someone disaterous is about to happen?" she protested.
"Because we don't want you to harm yourself. Ah," his eyes went wide, he was looking at her right hand. It's begining!"
/Why do my hands feel so warm?/
She looked down at them to see coarse black fur sprouting on the tops of them as her fingernails lengthend, growing into short, but sharp black claws.
/What the hell?/
It spread from there with gray fur sprouting on her wrists.
"What have you done to me?"
"You shall see in a few minutes," the man said.
Jill jumped off of the bed, ready to grab the man, or perhaps slash his throat with her growing claws. She heard the sound of guns cocking from two guards behind him.
"I don't recomend that," the man said.
Jill drew her attention back to her body. Gray fur was now up to her elbows and her tailbone ached. The fur spread up over the sleeves of the gown as her jaw began to ache. Jill turned and threw the gown off to see what was happening. The fur spread up to her shoulders and streamed over her torso, coating it in the same gray fur. It tingled as it covered her breasts, mild annoyance overtaking her as they too became fur covered.
"Yes, quite excellent," the man said.
Jills face was *hurting* now. She rasied paw like hands and felt her jaw expanding, sounds seemed to fade, she could feel her ears vanishing into her head. Then, as though someone turned the volume up, they soared back into her skull with the sting of new ears growing atop her head. She felt them, these were furry and rounded, flimiser then her human ears, but they heard sounds she could only dream of before. She could hear the men breathing deep, yes, they were nervous of her, she could use this distraction to disarm them, knowing that calmed her, she could get out of there any time she wanted, if Leon joined her, they'd be smears on the walls, well, maybe not smears, but certainlly not intact. But no, she wasen't a monster, such behavior was beyond her -and- him unless they were in a do or die situation. She saw her jaw expanding, longer then a human one, like a ... muzzle? She felt her teeth with her tounger, sharper, powerfull, her whiskers twitched as new smells filled her mind. She could smell the mens apprenhention, it was almost comical. Here she was just a little raccoon, and they were big humans. of course, this "little" raccoon could do a lot of damage in she wanted to, especially if they hurt her friends.
Her torso was fur covered, the room now warmer. The changes spread to her legs and she felt a growing tail twitch, she looked to see the rings on it, three black ones with a black tip. It was a strange feeling. She watched her legs become furry, annoyed at seeing smooth shapley feminine legs looking animalistic, but at least she woulden't have to worry about shaving anymore. Then it hit her feet, her toes became clawed as corase black fur sprouted on her feet. It seemed to be done and she turned back to the men, not caring about her nudity, although she knew she'd need at least a top and shorts, she didn't need any voyers or perverts trying anything.
"You didn't mention this ... side effect," she said.
“I guess you have a point.. But what’s the point of being immune to the viruses if I can’t even fight Wesker’s organization?”
“Who said you can’t?”
“Like THIS?”
“Apperances mean nothing when it comes to skill.”
“.....”
"Well my dear, would you have undergone this treatment if I did?" the man said.
“Besides you’ll only be stuck like that for a month, then you can switch between your human self, and this form.”
“Why would I want to use this form? It’s a freakin’ RACCOON!”
That left the guy speechless. Leon’s form had obvious advantages... What COULD a Raccoon do?
"There are many things you can do. As an example, your keen sence of smell and hearing will allowing you to hear attackers comming from a mile away." The man walked closer to Jill and took her hands into his. "Feel my hands, do they seem diffrent?"
"Yes," Jill answered.
"Your sence of touch in this form is significantly stronger then a humans. I'm sure you can find ways to make use of that."
"Maybe," Jill answerd.
"You'll also find you have excellent night vision. Harkins, kill the lights," the man said.
"Sir, is that wise?" Harkins protested.
"Just do it!"
The armed man behind and to the man's right nodded and walked over to a wall pannel to the left of the door they'd entered in. The light level of the room decreased to almost total darkness. Jills eyes only needed moments to adjust before she could make out the three men. She walked arround them, they seemed almost totally unaware of her presence as they seemed to fumble arround in the dark.
"Excellent," she said.
She then realised there was another scent in the air, she didn't recognise it, but it was diffrent then the human men.
"Who else has been in here?" she asked.
"You're not the first to undergo this treatment. Think of how usefull that sence of smell would be in tracking down would be attacks or friends that are lost of hurt. You can turn the lights back on on Harkins."
The man complied and the room was once again flooded with white light. Jill shielded her eyes for a few moments before they adjusted.
"Your smaller size will allow you access to areas that our ... larger members cannot get into."
"Well," jill said examining herself, "I guess its ok, ill get used too it anyways..." "good, now if youll just come with me well get you fitted for clothing" "alright, thats great, but how am i going to switch from outfit to outfit quickly, Right now Im pretty small, i dont think it will fit my human form" the scientist said nothing, he must have not thought about that, she smiled to herself, she stumped him! "so how long am i like this", Jill asked, "one month he replied" and they continued walking.
"I have be an animal for one freaking month?" Jill replied. She noticed her anger was more primal in this form.
"It's not so bad Ms. Valentine. It will give you time to grow accumstomed to it. Anyway, you can meet you're fellow hybrid Leon. In fact, I think he's in the messhall right now. Once we get you dressed, would you like to meet him?"
"Sure, why not?" Jill replied.
The man lead her to a room filled with clothing. Jill put on pair of black shorts with a space for her tail and buttons above it and a black tubetop as well as apair of boots. She looked at herself in the mirror, seeing her new form in its entirety for the first time. She had a femme fatale kind of look; cute but deceptivley so. If only 'they' knew what lurked under this body. Cute didn't always mean cuddly; her her attire only added to the deception. They then went to the armory, where she retrieved her sidearm. She bolted it arround her weist and grinned. She might have been small in this form, but she knew all to well to never underestimate an opponent based on his or her size.
"So, when can I meet Leon?" she said, almost purring like a kitten.
"Right this way," the man said.
He lead her through the halls of the facility. They seemed diffrent with her altered sences. When she could smell and hear things no human could, it was difficult not to see the world in a new light. When they reached the messhall, she saw a massive lumbering form sitting at a table alone. She aporached it with caution. It turned and she found herself staring at a large, muscular lion man. her towered over her, and boy was he handsome. She'd never meet him in person but she already felt safe arround him.
"Hello," he said, extending his right hand. "Who might you be?"
Jill needed two hands to fit into his one as she looked him in the eye.
"Valentine, Jill Valentine," she answered.
“Oh, Right. You’re a member of the S.T.A.R.S. Team, that in 1996, was investigating those murders in the Arkalay Mountains near Raccoon City, right?”
“Yes. How do you..?”
“Well, I was in Raccoon City during the outbreak, I’m a friend of Claire Redfield, AND I’m a goverment agent, so of course I’d know.”
"Yes, I supposse you would. Now, let's talk about something other then buisness," Jill said.
She walked arround to the front of him, climbed up onto his lap and looked into his eyes. She ran her hands down each side of his head, gracefully stroking his mane. Drawing herself closer, she felt his breath against her face. It had a warm and pleasent feeling to it. She drew back. "Would you like something to drink. A beer to perhaps lighten the mood?"
"Ms Valentine..."
"Call me Jill."
She she stroked his nape before reaching under his shirt and rubbing the soft but on his chest.
Leon suddenly grabbed her arms with just enough force to stop her, but not enough to hurt her.
"I really don't think this is appropriate."
"Perhaps not, but they didn't say we cannot ... experiment with these forms," Jill winked.
"Indeed, but I already have a girlfriend," Leon said.
He let go of her and Jill and stepped off, looking up at him with a grin. "Too bad, I could've stolen your heart." She sat down accross from him and put her elbows on the table, resting her chin on her hands.
"Stolen my heart." Leon grinned and shook his head.
Jill settled to watch Leon as she started a discussion with him about this new program. Perhaps someone else would come along; then she'd show him that her skills extended well beyond fighting.
